As we are all aware by now Dalnet has had a few problems! We at NewsTalk will endeavor to stay connected to Dalnet as long as we can, however if you are having serious problems connecting to Dalnet as a backup the NewsTalk family is invited to come to #NewsTalk on QuakeNet. We look forward to meeting you there. Dal may having its problems but that doesn't mean to say it will stop us chatting!

Newstalk was created by Hondo on Friday 9th August 2000 and has steadily grown since that day. This year will be our second birthday. Definitely a time to celebrate!!!

August 7: Sad News
On Wednesday we heard that hoogie's 15 year old grandson, who is yakbaks youngest son, was badly beaten by a gang in the city. He went to rent a movie on Monday night and was beaten up by some guys, who broke his jaw in two places for which he has to undergo surgery.
Too yakbak and hoogie, all of us at NewsTalk want you to know that we are thinking about you all and send our prayers and best wishes for his speedy recovery.
